With over 3500 acres to explore, Bays Mountain Park in Kingsport, TN, is a frequent destination for the citizens and visitors to the Appalachian Highlands.

Developing a website that compliments this one-of-a-kind nature park and planetarium allowed our team at Six Rivers Digital to implement an inspiring design experience with a rich resource of events, exhibits, and programs across the park. There’s also a planetarium micro-site that presents one of the most out-of-this-world collections of astronomy and skywatching resources in the region.

Together, we worked to create a back-end experience for the park staff that allowed multiple authors to manage content and events on this website. In addition to the park maps, exhibit information, and resources for schools and educators, there are more than seven calendars that roll up into an experience for visitors to search on a mobile device easily.

Visitors to the website have access to a lot of information right at their fingertips. As part of our audience strategy, we also employed sophisticated SEO strategies to improve listings across the Internet and work together on a process for tracking and monitoring reviews across the Internet as part of an active reputation management strategy.
